FLOATLET / WHAT IS NEW
What is new
A small space, getting better.
0.7.0: Search and desktop refinements
Search, app-first results, file collection, a redesigned native search interface, minimize-to-edge behaviour and Apple Music artwork fallback are included in 0.7.0. Choose a shortcut and local file provider in preferences. Live pointer-following across multiple monitors still needs verification.
0.6.3: Clearer call controls
One mute control, a headset icon and a persistent Show calls switch. Turn it off to hide microphone activity and stop monitoring. Open call app brings forward native call controls. Direct participant names, deafen and hang-up are not implemented.
0.6.2: Calendar connection feedback
Rejected subscription links show a connection error instead of an apparently empty synced day. Private Google calendars need the Secret iCal address.
0.6.1: Multiple calendars and app icons
Connect up to eight Google Calendar subscriptions with encrypted local storage, a merged agenda and duplicate filtering. Media without artwork can use the Windows app icon, with a music-note fallback.
0.6.0: Persistent alerts and reminders
Wider icon-only music, shaking alarm-clock icons, camera notifications, and alerts that stop only when you press Dismiss inside Clock. Google subscriptions refresh every minute and show upcoming-event reminders. Open Floatlet with Ctrl+Shift+F12. Main downloads now provide the standalone EXE.
0.5.0: Clocks and quiet motion
A running stopwatch stays in the compact pill. Timer completion and alarms expand with a dismissible chime. Music uses a small, softly smoothed waveform with a fixed maximum height. Hover playback targets are larger. Settings include the creator credit.
0.4.0 · Floatlet
The app, executable, shortcuts and public project now use Floatlet. Existing settings, calendar subscription and startup preferences are preserved. Idle is a compact unlabelled pill. Shortcut conflicts no longer interrupt startup.
0.3.0
Introduced quick timers, nearby Wi-Fi, preferences inside the island, calendar subscriptions, microphone activity controls and rendering reuse.
